OLIVIER CESARINI — BARYTON =========================== [FR] Olivier Cesarini est un baryton curieux et enthousiaste, formé dès son enfance au Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles avant d'intégrer le CNSM de Paris où il obtient son master de chant lyrique. Il a étudié la voix auprès d'Yves Sotin, Agnès de Brunhoff et Jean-Sébastien Bou, qui lui ont transmis le plaisir de faire et de partager la musique. Il a pu bénéficier des conseils de nombreux artistes d'exception tels que Thomas Hampson, Malcolm King, Christian Himmler ou Gerda Hartmann, notamment grâce à la Fondation Royaumont dont il est lauréat. Sa large tessiture lui a permis d'incarner une vaste palette de rôles : le rôle-titre dans Don Giovanni et Papageno dans La Flûte enchantée de Mozart, Germont dans La Traviata de Verdi, Germano dans La Scala di Seta de Rossini, ou Enrico dans L'Isola disabitata de Haydn. Son Vice-Roi dans La Périchole d'Offenbach au Théâtre de Bayonne lui a valu le Prix de l'Orangerie de Sceaux de l'Académie Ravel en 2019. Plus récemment, il a chanté Sultan dans Le Amazzoni nell'isole fortunate de Pallavicino aux festivals de Potsdam et de Beaune, Marullo dans Rigoletto de Verdi à l'Opéra de Toulon, Le Temps et Le Fleuve Sangar dans Atys de Lully ainsi qu'Ascalaphe dans Proserpine de Lully, à l'Opéra Royal de Versailles et au Theater an der Wien. Il a enregistré ces deux œuvres avec Les Talens Lyriques sous la direction de Christophe Rousset pour le label Château de Versailles Spectacles. Il s'est produit en récital avec l'Ensemble Instrumental de Corse, l'Orchestre de Chambre des Cévennes au Festival du Vigan, le groupe orchestral Le Paradoxe au Théâtre du Châtelet, avec l'organiste Adam Bernadac et pour l'association Jeunes Talents dans divers hôpitaux de Paris. Il se consacre en outre à la musique sacrée, qu'il a interprétée sous la direction de certains des plus grands spécialistes du répertoire : Laurence Equilbey, Olivier Schneebeli, Masaaki Suzuki, Jos van Veldhoven, Michel Piquemal… Ces dernières années, il a ajouté à son répertoire le Deutsches Requiem de Brahms, le Stabat Mater de Dvořák et Le Messie de Haendel. Il conserve une grande prédilection pour l'œuvre de Jean-Sébastien Bach, tout particulièrement les Passions selon saint Jean et selon saint Matthieu, qu'il a chantées, entre autres, au Muziekcentrum d'Enschede et à Notre-Dame de Paris. Olivier continue à faire de la musique par amour pour elle et pour ceux qui la lui ont transmise. [EN] Olivier Cesarini is a curious and passionate baritone, trained from childhood at the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles before joining the Paris Conservatory (CNSM), where he earned his Master's degree in vocal performance. He studied voice with Yves Sotin, Agnès de Brunhoff and Jean-Sébastien Bou, who instilled in him the joy of making and sharing music. He has benefited from the guidance of exceptional artists such as Thomas Hampson, Malcolm King, Christian Himmler and Gerda Hartmann, notably through the Fondation Royaumont, of which he is a laureate. His wide-ranging tessitura has allowed him to portray a vast array of roles: the title role in Mozart's Don Giovanni and Papageno in The Magic Flute, Germont in Verdi's La Traviata, Germano in Rossini's La Scala di Seta, and Enrico in Haydn's L'Isola disabitata. His Vice-Roi in Offenbach's La Périchole at the Théâtre de Bayonne earned him the Prix de l'Orangerie de Sceaux from the Académie Ravel in 2019. He also devotes himself to sacred music, which he has performed under the direction of some of the foremost specialists in the repertoire: Laurence Equilbey, Olivier Schneebeli, Masaaki Suzuki, Jos van Veldhoven, and Michel Piquemal. In recent years, he has added to his repertoire Brahms's Deutsches Requiem, Dvořák's Stabat Mater and Handel's Messiah. He has a particular affinity for the works of J.S. Bach, especially the St John and St Matthew Passions, performed at the Muziekcentrum in Enschede and at Notre-Dame de Paris, among other venues.
